Festival Information

Participant fee information:
We are asking for a $50.00 entry fee from each choir, please pay this fee by (Insert information). Please make checks payable to (Insert information). Scholarships are available for the entry fee and music, if any church has difficulty in the fees involved with attending please contact us at lweidel@cox.net. There are expenditures involved with bringing (Insert information) here for this event, including his airfare, hotel and fee. Although there have been donations paid directly to the festival account we are not charging the public, but plan a free will offering to offset the expenses.
Directions: South on I-17 to Bethany Home Rd turn left (east). Continue down Bethany Home Rd. to Central Avenue turn right (south) to 5510 which is on the right (west) side of Central. Nearest cross streets are Central and Missouri. North on I-17, Bethany Home Rd turn right (east) to Central Avenue, turn right (south) 5510 is on the right (west) side of Central Ave. in Phoenix. Carpooling is recommended as parking is somewhat limited
Arrival: you will be directed to your home room to leave personal items etc. Please refrain from bringing anything of great value, there will be a locked room available for personal belongings prior to the concert and then not opened until after the concert has concluded.
Rehearsal: will begin at 3:00 pm sharp in the sanctuary with the band and (Insert information). Please be punctual and pre-rehearsed prior to festival day. Please inform the festival coordinators of any special needs prior to the day of the festival. Rehearsal will conclude at approximately 5 pm. From 5:00 to 6:15 will be free time for snacks and small meals in your home room area, and rehearsal time for our individual anthems.
Bring to Rehearsal: Four Mass Choir selections of music, choir folders, personal items such as cough drops, tissues, etc. Your individual anthem for your individual rehearsal and performance.
Individual Rehearsal time: Will take place during the meal and snack time prior to the concert in 10 minute intervals, a schedule with rehearsal times will be available prior to Festival Day for each choir participating in the individual portion of the concert of one anthem of their choice. This is not mandatory of every choir only an option.
Meals and Snacks: Please feel free to bring sack lunches, food trays, desserts, etc for meal time prior to the concert at 6:30. Remember to bring utensils, cups, plates and napkins, paper towels etc. there will be water available for no charge. There have been churches in the past that had a designated non choir person bring Pizza and KFC at a specific time, it’s up to you how to make the meal time work best for you.
Concert Time: is at 6:30 pm. It is recommended if there are people meeting you there arrive early, it is expected to be a full house.
Attire:
Robes are acceptable, but not mandatory.
Solid colored clothing, please refrain from floral, bright colors or printed fabrics.
Comfortable shoes, with rubber soles, no heels, floor is very slick.
Please wear scentless deodorant, hair products and no perfumes or cologne.
Water is not permitted in the sanctuary but a water station will be provided outside the sanctuary doors
